Product Review:San San Shimmer Lipstick #05

Hello Hello my dear dollies!

It's me once again and will share a review about my recent find. The San San Shimmer Lipstick #05!

I really don't wear lipstick before because I find it heavy to the lips. I remember when I was young and we have school programs, my Mom is always the one who puts makeup on me and this includes lipstick. I remember that I don't close my lips when I already have lipstick on to prevent it from smudging or fading haha

pretty silly of me and at the same time funny.

Since that I started being addicted to makeup, lipsticks has already found a special place in my heart. I am not really a lipstick person and lipsticks are not my most favorite cosmetic. I just love collecting them.

Moving on to the review, I decided to visit an HBC store to look for the San San Soleil lipsticks which they have a coral shade. I was so happy to see a tester of the said product but to my dismay, it's not available waa
So the nice SA offered me this San San Shimmer Lipstick #05 and she said that it's the dupe of the San San Soleil Peach Ibiza.

This lipstick comes in a blue round tube package. What I like about the packaging is that the lipstick goes all the way in unlike other lipsticks that are peeking out. The lipstick is on the creamy side which I love and really pigmented. Just 1 to swipe and you already have a gorgeous lips.. The downside is that it has some shimmers to it but it will do. Since that it has shimmers already, you don't need to apply any lip gloss anymore unless you want it extra shiny. The downside is that it's not long lasting and you have to re-apply it after eating or drinking but it's not a big problem to me.

So here's the shade of the lipstick.

Hope that you can really see the shade. It's more on the coral to orange-y side and it gives that nude-ish look that doesn't make me look pale which I love.
And here is the swatch at the back of my hand.

and of course a swatch to my lips.

I really love the natural color that it gives to my lips. I wear this shade when I just want a not too made up makeup look.

And I'm wearing this particular lipstick in this photo.

I really love it!

THE PRODUCT: San San Shimmer Lipstick #05
PRICE: Php 88
PLACE: HBC MRT Ayala Station
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

  • Value for money
  • Lovely Shade (Wearable for any skin tone)
  • Packaging doesn't look cheap
  • Not drying on the lips

WHAT I DON'T LOVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

  • Not long lasting
  • Shimmery but It's fine with me
  • Availability is pretty uncertain

WILL I RECOMMEND IT/ BUY IT AGAIN?: I recommend this for those who are looking for an affordable lipstick but has good shades that will flatter any Filipina skin tone. Yes! I'll be buying their other shades and I hope that I will love them as well as much as I love this particular shade.

RATING: I give this product a  4/5

THE VERDICT: This is a pretty good lipstick for it's price and I'm loving it.

Product Review:San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish

Hello again my dear dollies!
It's review time again!
For today's review, it's the San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish
I've seen San San for a very long time now and I do remember that my mom had tried using the compact powders. San San is only available in HBC outlets.

I have this for a very long time now. I decided to try San San nail polish because they are free of the big 3 which is the Formaldehyde,Toluene and DBP.

I got the Perfectly Pink shade because I think that this is the only shade that will suit me. (Based on the available shades that are available on that branch)

It comes in a square packaging and a big one as well. The packaging is really simple but nice. What I love most is the blue handle which I have no problems in controlling it. The brush is pretty good as well for it's price. The texture of the product is quite sheer so you needed 2 coats to achieve a good color.

I read on some blogs that if you are using a big 3 free nail polish, you also need a base coat that is free of the big 3. Since that I don't have one, (I'm using Caronia's base coat and nail hardener in 1) I can't really tell on how long lasting this nail polish is. The nail polish already chipped by day two which is a bummer since that I love the natural looking color that it gives to my nails.

I only used 1 coat of the nail polish and even though it looks quite sheer in the bottle, it already gave a nice, natural looking pink color to my nails which I'm pretty satisfied. Just look on how clean it looks? Next time I'll try two coats of this product. Overall, I'm loving this color and will use this if I jut want a natural looking nail polish.

THE PRODUCT:  San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish
PRICE:  Php 37
PLACE:  HBC Makati Cinema Square
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

  • Affordable (A pretty good nail polish for it's price. Imagine it is also free of the big 3 that means it's a safe nail polish)
  • The shade of this particular polish

WHAT I DON'T LOVE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

  • Too few shades to choose from
  • Availability of product (Only available at HBC outlets)

WILL I RECOMMEND IT/ BUY IT AGAIN?: I recommend this to those who are conscious with the ingredients of their nail polish. In short, I recommend this for those who wants safe nail polish. Maybe I'll buy this again since that this is a pretty good polish for it's price. I really do hope that they make more shades especially for the young ones who wants cute and bright colors.

RATING: I give this product a   3/5

THE VERDICT:

Not bad for a local brand polish. A safe nail polish and a pretty good one for it's price.

Take care dollies and always stay pretty!
